I work in several painting mediums concurrently including large-scale paintings on canvas, small-scale reverse painting on glass and collage on paper. In all my work the image comes about as a result of the process. The subject matter of my work is line, form, texture and color as derived from nature. My approach and materials change as my visual needs evolve.
I prefer a direct, hands-on process with simple shapes to create complex relationships. I see my role is that of a collaborator with the materials, the process and the medium. I feel my work is successful when the process and materials come together to create new images.
My work is in public, private and corporate collections and is represented by Gerald Bland Inc, New York, N.Y.
